Customs deskEverything that has to be declared. Import and export files, transit, tax registrations and the fiscal advice that goes with them — filed by a registered customs agent and customs representative (representante aduanero), Authorised Economic Operator.

Air cargo deskOur own desk inside the cargo terminal at Palma airport. When the shipment has to be on the next flight — spare parts for a vessel alongside, urgent documentation, time-critical freight — the file is opened where the goods actually land.

Beyond the customs declaration
Border health & product controls.
Some consignments cannot be released by customs alone. Food, live animals, plants, cosmetics, pharmaceuticals and consumer goods are subject to official border controls carried out by the competent authorities, each with its own timetable, paperwork and physical inspection. We assist with the customs procedures and documentation related to these controls — preparing and presenting the files alongside the customs declaration, and coordinating with the inspection bodies so the two processes finish together instead of one waiting on the other.

Food of non-animal origin, cosmetics, pharmaceuticals and any product subject to public health control at the point of entry.
Veterinary inspection
Inspección veterinaria
Products of animal origin and live animals, presented through the border control post and tracked in TRACES until release.
Phytosanitary inspection
Inspección fitosanitaria
Plants, plant products, timber and packaging material subject to plant health certification and inspection on arrival.
SOIVRE
Quality & conformity control
Consumer goods, textiles, footwear, toys and electrical products checked before they enter free circulation.
Border inspection is booked before the goods arrive. Send us the commercial invoice, packing list and health certificates as soon as they exist — the earlier the file opens, the shorter the wait at the port.

Customs, in plain terms.
What does a customs agent do in Spain?
A customs agent — agente de aduanas, defined at European level as a customs representative (representante aduanero) — files the declarations that move goods legally across the border on the importer’s or exporter’s behalf: clearance, transit, tax registrations and the supporting documentation. Lantimar Logistics & Customs is an Authorised Economic Operator, the status the European Union grants to operators with proven customs compliance and security standards.
Which of the three desks should I contact?
If the question is about a declaration, a tax registration or a customs regime, write to Aduanas. If the goods travel by air, write to Aéreo, which sits inside the cargo terminal at Palma airport. If you need the shipment moved by sea or road, or stored between legs, write to Tráfico. If you are not sure, any of the three will route it internally.
Do you handle air freight at Palma de Mallorca airport?
Yes. We keep an office at the Son Sant Joan cargo terminal, so import and export shipments by air are handled where the goods physically arrive rather than remotely.
What is a T1 transit document?
T1 covers the movement of non-EU goods between two points inside the customs territory of the Union without customs duties being paid at the point of entry. It keeps the goods under a transit procedure until they reach the office where they are actually cleared.
What is an EORI number and do I need one?
EORI is the identification number that any economic operator carrying out customs activities in the European Union needs. Without it a company cannot file import or export declarations. We handle the registration as part of the customs service.
What is Intrastat and who has to file it?
Intrastat is the statistical declaration on the movement of goods between EU member states. Above certain annual thresholds it becomes obligatory, and the thresholds are set country by country. We prepare and file the returns for clients who cross them.
Can you ship dangerous goods?
Yes. Dangerous goods shipments are handled under the applicable regulations for each mode of transport, with the classification, documentation and packaging requirements checked before the booking is confirmed.
Do you offer bonded warehousing?
Yes — both bonded and non-bonded. Bonded storage lets goods sit under customs supervision without duties and import VAT being paid until they are released for free circulation, which is useful when the final destination is not yet fixed.
